The High Court in Tamale, Ghana, has convicted three former Northern Development Authority officials and a businessman on charges related to corruption and tampering with government tender procedures, according to media reports published on October 23, 2026.
The case included seven charges related to influencing contracting procedures to obtain undue benefits, and corruption related to public officials. The court imposed financial fines instead of prison sentences, taking into account the advanced age of the convicts, noting that early intervention prevented financial losses to the state.
