Civil Union - Follow-ups
Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced that contracts for the purchase of walkie-talkies intended to support the response to forest and land fires are under investigation, as part of a case related to suspected corruption in the National Disaster Management Agency's emergency funds.
These developments come following an operation carried out by the committee on October 13, which resulted in the arrest of 15 people, before it identified five suspects in the case, as part of ongoing investigations into contracts and possible violations.
The committee also announced the confiscation of assets and funds valued at approximately 5.47 billion Indonesian rupiah, which included cash, foreign currencies, gold, and digital assets, while investigations continue to uncover the circumstances of the case and determine legal responsibilities.
