«Combating Corruption from Monitoring to Field Action» — Aden Anti-Corruption Union Approves Action Plan and Launches Implementation Mechanisms Aden / Union Media Office The Executive Committee of the Civil Union for Combating Corruption – Aden Branch, on Monday, approved its operational plan and fieldwork mechanisms for the upcoming phase, during an expanded organizational meeting chaired by Ms. Halima Abdullah, Deputy Chairperson of the Union and Head of the Aden Branch, in the presence of Mr. Salah Al-Saadi, Executive Director and Deputy Chairperson of the Union, along with the branch’s leadership and members. The meeting reviewed the completion of members’ organizational files and approved a unified procedural guide for receiving, documenting, and reviewing corruption reports, with the aim of standardizing working procedures and ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards. The meeting also approved mechanisms to safeguard the confidentiality of whistleblowers and field-team members, strengthen coordination with government, oversight, and security authorities, and expand partnerships with relevant human rights institutions and organizations. The Executive Committee further adopted a program of awareness seminars, workshops, and field visits aimed at promoting a culture of integrity and raising public awareness of the importance of oversight, accountability, and combating corruption. The branch leadership affirmed that the upcoming phase will witness the activation of field operations within a clear institutional framework, strengthening the role of civil society in supporting transparency and the rule of law. The Union also reaffirmed its commitment to protecting whistleblowers and its members, monitoring corruption cases, and supporting efforts aimed at safeguarding public funds.
