The Civil Union Against Corruption closes the door to membership after receiving 542 applications from various governorates | CUAC
Civil Union - private The leadership of the Civil Union Against Corruption announced the closure of receiving new applications to join the union during the current stage, after receiving 542 applications from various governorates within one month, including 172 applications from the capital, Aden. The Union’s leadership explained that the great demand to join exceeded expectations, noting that the selection of the first batch of cadres had been completed, and that the Union’s team would begin official communication with those accepted in the coming period to distribute tasks according to organizational and operational needs. The Federation confirmed that the decision to close the door to membership comes in light of the current limited operational and absorptive capacity, with the aim of maintaining the quality of performance and ensuring the efficiency of coordination and institutional work. According to the organizational decision, the data of all applicants who submitted applications during the period from the beginning of June to the end of September 2026 will be kept and archived within the Federation’s official database, with priority being given to them in future selection processes in the event that operational and absorptive capacity expands. The Union also clarified that if programs or projects are created that require specific specializations that are not available within the current database, the administration can announce the recruitment of new cadres to cover those needs. The Union’s leadership called on those interested in interactive volunteer work who had previously applied via the website or the official WhatsApp number to communicate directly, by sending a message that includes their full name and area of interest in volunteer work. The Union's leadership stressed that closing the door to join does not mean the end of the role of applicants and followers, stressing the importance of continued community participation, interaction, and reporting on corruption issues, considering society an essential partner in enhancing integrity and oversight. Issued by the leadership of the Civil Union Against Corruption – October 1, 2026
